Gazing at distant hills…

Oppy continues to just tick along, parked up at the summit of Cape York, drinking in the view. Not a lot to tell you this time, just a couple of new images to share with you. Firstly, a close-up of the ground at Oppy’s wheels, showing how deeply her wheels press down into the dirt here, and also showing some rocky fragments scattered around…

Also, what I think is a rather beatiful view across Endeavour Crater, to the hills on the crater’s eastern side. Oppy will never reach these hills, they’re several more years’ drive away, so we will never get to see their outcrops, ledges and slopes up close. But that’s ok, there’s plenty of fascinating geology on *this* side of the crater to keep Oppy busy. And as long as we have views like this, we can’t complain can we..?

More soon, I’m sure, so keep checking back.
