Things are rather quiet for Oppy at the moment. She’s just chilling out at those North Pole dunes, taking a close look at the dust around her, and scanning the terrain to the north. Looking at this panorama stitched together by UMSF’s martian cartographer extraordinaire, Eduardo Tesheiner, you can almost hear cogs turning as she considers her next drive, which will more than likely be down this very slope, past those rocky outcrops and onto the flat ground at towards the northern edge of the Cape, where she will begin her Gypsum Quest!
But going back in time briefly, Oppy’s final images of Greeley Haven have finally arrived back on Earth, so here you go folks, what will probably be my last ‘portrait’ of the rocky ridge where Oppy spent the last martian winter…
…and a final 3D view? Oh, alright then…
..and, um, that’s it for now. Oppy will be driving again soon, I’m sure. 🙂
