Heading north…

Oppy has now moved away from the beautiful “Rock Garden” and is making her way up the eastern flank of Odyssey Crater, heading north towards the nearest deposit of phylosillicates…

That’s an impressive view, isn’t it? I’m really sorry to leave this jumbled geological jamboree behind, but some seriously exciting science lies up ahead. First tho, I think Oppy is going to take a long, hard look at this exposed outcrop…

Wonder if they’ll try using the RAT (“Rock abrasion tool”? Tisdale 2 was far, far too rough and bumpy to try it, but this new outcrop looks a lot more RAT-friendly… 🙂
