Well, it looks like Oppy has just steamed rght past that “interesting feature” I posted about previously… it’s that dark streak just below the horizon there…
…so the mission scientists must have decided it wasn’t interesting at all. Probably just a fancy ripple formation. Here’s where Oppy is now…
Which means that last drive was an amazing 92 metres! That might not sound much, but Oppy has recently been covering 60 to 70m on a good day, so 90m represents quite a leap forward. Even better, Oppy will soon be driving across some much flatter, much harder terrain, so the driving conditions will get even better…
