Been a few days since I updated here, so let’s catch up on what’s been going on…

Oppy has been driving eastwards a bit more, ticking off more of the metres between her and the faraway hills of Endeavour. She’s been taking a lot more images of those hills, both to scan for dust devils between them and her, and also to byuild up another “super resolution view” of the peaks and slopes on Endeavour’s rim.Β  She’s also been examining some interesting geology on the surface, and having fun making some troughs and ditches in the dusty groud which make it look like she’s been soing “Dukes of Hazard” wheelies and hand-brake turns! Here’s a picture round-up…

Oppy looking longingly at the distant horizon… πŸ™‚

Hmmm… what’s that round thing? A small metal meteorite fragment? A hematite concretion?

Looks like Oppy has been having fun in the dirt…! πŸ™‚

Those faraway hills are getting ever closer…

This is where I think we should start looking for Cape York to appear soon. Just a personal guess based on lining things up with Google Mars… I’m still minded to believe that we can actually see, every now and then, depending on the local topography, the top of Cape York poking up above the horizon, but I appear to be in a VERY small minority!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
