It seems that Opportunity has really been bitten by the meteorite-collecting bug! After investigating “Block Island” and then “Shelter Island” she’s now taking a look at another meteorite christened “Mackinac”. (Guess they ran out of good island names to use!*) Mackinac looks quite a bit smaller than Block and Shelter to me, but what do I know! 🙂 Anyway, so far we only have black and white images, but hopefully there’ll be some colour triples down soon. In the meantime, here’s what I’ve been able to make so far…

* UPDATE: I’ve been told by several people that Mackinac IS the name of an island. My mistake, sorry! I was fooled by the name not having the word “island” in it. 😉
